There are six formal park-and-ride facilities in Dutchess County that are not directly related to Metro-North Railroad stations: one on I-84 at Lime Kiln Rd, one at Route 199, and four on the Taconic: at Route 52 (east and west), at Bulls Head Rd, and at Todd Hill Rd. These facilities provide places for travelers to meet and park their cars and catch a carpool, vanpool, or bus (in some cases) for follow-on travel. According to NYSDOT data, these six facilities provide more than 400 park and ride spaces.

There are also three park-and-ride facilities that are privately held but lease space to NYSDOT: Wappingers Falls Park & Ride in Fishkill (100 spaces), Dutchess Mall on Route 9 in Fishkill (100 spaces), and Kimberly Korners Park & Ride on Route 82 near the Taconic (51 spaces).
