What are the best policies?
Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site, Hyde Park, New York
This section of Moving Dutchess Forward focuses on actions that we (the DCTC), Dutchess County government, and local municipalities can pursue to remove transportation barriers and support economic opportunity, protect our environment, and improve quality of life.
We’ve organized these actions under separate pages:
- DCTC Actions
- Dutchess County Actions
- Local Municipal Actions
For DCTC and Dutchess County actions, we show high-level objectives with sub-bullets for specific actions, framed in the context of improving safety, reliability, and access to basic needs – the same themes as in our Assess section. For the most part, actions are listed under one category only, though they may apply to others. We organized the local actions as a series of questions to ask about your municipality, with recommended actions to address each question.

TELL US YOUR SUCCESS STORY
If you have a local success story or an effective policy or practice to share, please let us know! We can spread the word to others and perhaps include it in this section of Moving Dutchess Forward.
